Two days before Christmas and all through the house, it was hustle and bustle and definitely not quiet as a mouse. The packages were ready, the last grocery trip made, but my wandering mind was starting to fade. I gathered my gear, and thought of a plan, and out the door we raced with all in hand! Less than an hour later all snuggled in warm, I worked on some pictures we took at the farm….
And really lets face it, I am not a poet by any stretch of the imagination! So enough of that failed effort! I really was feeling a little down though, and this last quick session revived my Christmas Spirit for sure!! This is what I love to do–an idea, an outfit, a theme, and a post processing style to inspire the feeling we were trying to create for you.
Today I would like to share with you the last editorial stylized concept shoot of 2014 for Michelle Quinn Studios. The model is my lovely daughter Sarah, with a Boer Goat who is just 2 days old named Tiger, and a Rhode Island Red Hen named Mahogany who is quite the elderly girl. A huge thank-you to Sarah for freezing her butt off for me in this gown, and to dear Shelby for being my human light stand and thanks so much Payton Rivera for letting me shoot with your animals! These types of shoots cannot happen without a few great assistants!
I wouldn’t mind if you and I could fly away together, fly away….
